Leave your poltiics at the door. This ribbon has been tied on a tree in front of a house in our neighborhood for a long time. For me, there really is something touching about this particular statement. This ribbon has been there for at least several months, but the thing that caught my attention this time was how worn the ribbon was. It really was starting to get tattered. This made me think. If the ribbon is still tied around the tree, yet it looks so old, this is a good sign isn't it?

Hi ted..i didn“t understand everything you wrote...But ...Nice to see that you find something interesting in such a simple thing...This makes me remember that movie "america beauty" when the guy talk about a plastic bag in the wind.....

About the picture...the texture on the tree is great..(it is really old...and the ribbon has a long way to go...to get real old too: ))....Look...for me this pictur is a little overexposed...and we loss some detail in the brighter areas...

I understand what you mean. On one hand, it's scary that it's been so long there. On the other hand, that's good news: people still remember, no matter how long it takes.
