I've been following The World Cup since 1990 when I visited my relatives in in Germany. One of my cousins was a big fan and he introduced it to me. It helped that Germany won that year (Klinsmann, Matthias, et. al...). I have to admit that this year I had higher hopes for the US team. I think they didn't play to their potential. For some reason, they weren't as mentally prepared as the other teams. Alas.

Huge, HUGE disappointment, especially considering their rise in the last couple World Cup's... My other team, Mexico, disappointed as well, although their demise was somewhat expected, as it has been pretty much every other Cup in the last twenty years... Oh well, perhaps South Africa will change all that.
