I know this is similar to yesterday's shot, but it's a different composition which I also like. I also realize that I need to calibrate my monitor. I think yesterday's shot was a bit too dark and today's is perhaps a bit too light.

Lovely place!
It is not enough to calibrate your monitor... in my experience a lot of people use un-calibrated monitors.
Sometimes I wonder why I am trying to get a picture right when 90% of the people who will look at it will see something completely different on their screens...

I thought the darkness of yesterday's shot suited the picture. Today's shot is interesting too. It shows scraggly tress and explains why they are that way. Good story telling.

I can't even get my two monitors calibrated the same way. Pictures always look brighter at home than at work.
