I'm in Poughkeepsie, New York at the moment to spend some time with my parents. While here, I met John Trama, a 79 year young man, at Vassar hospital. Out of the blue, he walked up and stared chatting loquaciously. He showed me photos of his 4 grandchildren of whom he was very proud. He chatted a bit about being an engineer during the Korean War and how he started his own landscaping company. We only spoke for a few minutes, but in that time I got the impression of an a life that was very consciously and energetically embraced. He truly embraces life. I only hope that if I make it to 79, that I have half of his unbreakable spirit.

You have captured a lot of character. I'd say this shot does your description of this gentleman justice!

We need to meet people like this, Ted, who have an impact on us like this. In those brief moments, he mentored you! What great character!
