A couple of months ago, I saw a photo on one of my co-worker's desktops of some hot air balloons. He mentioned that he took the shot at "The Erie Town Fair" last year and that this year's fair was coming up. The fair was this weekend so I dragged myself out of bed at 5:30am on a Saturday and drove over to Erie, a small town east of Boulder. In hindsight, I should've dragged my family with me. It was really fun. There were supposedly over 60 balloons and there were hundreds of families watching them all go up.

I love the light. Did you do this in Lightroom? It is hard to believe that you can get this effect without processing parts of the shot separately. Really nice work, Ted!

Like Martin said the light is fantastic. Especially like the long shadows.
