It was fascinating to watch the crews prepare balloons for launching. The initial "inflation" was done with a fan and usually a person would be pulling hard on a rope attached to the top of the balloon. The man in this photo was doing so, presumably to give the balloon some structure while air was forced inside to be heated later.

That is an interesting bit of information. I didn't know how this was done.

I like the tones and the strong highlights from the low sun. It looks like it is just about ready to get hot.
