One of the challenges I gave myself during the balloon festival was to try to take more atypical shots. I didn't want to only take shots I had done before nor ones that I might see in a brochure. Here's one of my attempts...

I think this is tough tough challenge and I feel you did a good job. It is easy to lose focus on the intricate details amongst all that color. The thread pattern sure looks interesting. I need to find a similar event close to my city and see it in close quarters.

This is a good perspective. The deep shadow at the top creates an unusual balance, that makes the shot interesting. Of course the rich colors don't hurt either. Nice work!

From the picture, it looks like it was taken from a hot air balloon in the air. But I know you were on the ground the whole time. How did you do that?

I love all the lines, both the ropes and the balloon patters, that go in every which direction.
