In east Boulder, there's a trail where every spring, there's a sudden burst of yellow flowers in what looks like a boggy marsh. It's surprising because they're hidden by other vegetation and as you walk along the trail, you come upon them suddenly. They're gorgeous and very yellow and seem to be out of place.

I have to laugh, Ted, because this reminds me of that question that asks if a tree falls in the woods and no one is around, is there any sound? If no one sees these flowers, are they there or are they still yellow? OF COURSE. But this did bring a smile to my face.

Nature has a way of popping up unexpected things like that. I am glad you are finding time to post and I apologize for not having come through here very often lately.

Those yellow flowers are wild Iris, Ted.

Beautiful.

Go on up to the National Park, and you will find this flower in beautiful blue.

Now you know why Elaine and I go on up to the mountain every chance we got.
