About This Site
cheechoo.net was originally a gift from Cameron's uncle Jeff.
Before Cameron was born, Linna, Ted, and some friends were watching the
Colorado Avalanche play the
San Jose Sharks in the 2004 NHL playoffs.
Jonathan Cheechoo was single handedly
eliminating the Avs from the playoffs. Half joking, I mentioned that we should name our son
"Cheechoo" Chen and so when Jeff decided to set up this site, he managed to obtain cheechoo.net.
Originally, this site was intended to be for and about Cameron. It was to be maintained
by Cameron's family and friends until the day in the future he might decide to do so on his own.
In 2008, Cameron became a big brother to Kate. Rather than create a new website for her,
cheechoo.net will change to become a place where Linna and Ted can document the lives of
both their children. If it seems a little unfair to Kate, know that we've decided to spend
more time with her in person, and less online.
The site is driven by a homegrown Java-based Web framework called the
"Simple Web Framework".
It should be accessible
and is standards compliant being HTML transitional
with valid CSS.
Why is it not XHTML? See this post on the WebKit blog,
this document by Ian Hickson,
and this blog posting by Anne Kesteren.
This is version 2.2.88 of cheechoo.net.

Site History
cheechoo.net was originally designed by Cameron's uncle, Jeff,
as he was first learning HTML and CSS.
Using Jeff's design as a basis, it went through some minor changes and looked like the following before it was replaced with the current version.
