Cameron with a bandage on his head...

Wounded

Last night we had our first really big scare with Cameron. He was walking in a restaurant when he tripped and face planted into the edge of a low wall. He immediately started crying very hard and when Linna picked him up, she noticed that his forehead was bleeding profusely. The restaurant staff was really helpful running to get a bunch of napkins, some ice, and gauze from their first aid kit. I happened to be at dinner with many of my work colleagues, so between them and the restaurant staff, there was quite a crowd. Cameron seemed okay. He hadn't lost consciousness and his crying seemed normal if a bit harder than usual. We decided to take him to the hospital which was fortunately only 5 minutes away. As soon as we left the restaurant, he calmed down and seemed his normal inquisitive and talkative self. At the hospital, the nurse and doctor checked him out and decided that all he really needed were some stitches for his quite big and deep cut.

This morning, despite a night of restless sleep, he seems quite fine.
